Our boy wouldn’t even have a sip of formula of us we were trying for 2 months (starting at 6 months) then we let him have a sleepover at his grandparents and he had no choice but to have a bottle and he took it with no issues for them since then (about a month ago) we’ve just been slowly transitioning swapping a feed a week from breast to bottle started with the morning bottle I won’t lie it was hard because he was fussy at first and would only take it off his dad and then when he did allow me to do it for some reason I had to be stood up while giving it him if I sat he would push it away but now after a month we have no issues fingers crossed for you though that his transition goes well x
It also helps him being distracted so I will put Bluey or dancing fruits on for him during feed times
@Yolanta my daughter is the same. Completely refused formula and bottles ! I want to leave her with her grandparents overnight but terrified she will go crazy without breast to settle her. Did your little one take to bottles before the sleepover ?
I just got some nuby bottles that are SO soft and have 6 holes so mimic breastfeeding …. My girls still fused to my boob but will actually latch to these rather than just chew them and drink! At the minute I’m finding them helpful on the go, she will have one in the pushchair, but at night it’s still boob or screaming blue murder. X
@Mimi no he wouldn’t touch it before hand we went through 5 different bottle and 3 different formulas trying he ended up liking the rubber tommie tippie ones with a contra flow teet and aptamil I was worried he wouldn’t be ok too but we had to try see if it would help and it did massively
Following because I am struggling so much!!!!!!!
