Advice..

My son has started crying uncontrollably since 12:30pm today. He cried for an hour non stop, out of the blue. I thought he was hungry so tried giving him lunch but that caused further upset so I stopped. He had some milk (2oz) and fell asleep for an hour. He's woken up and is crying again like he did before. Should I ring doctors? I've checked his temperature, it's fine and he has no tooth cutting through so I don't think he's teething. Just really unsure of what to do. I'm going to give him some Calpol now to help alleviate whatever pain he's in. Just a bit concerned as he's crying out loudly all of a sudden after a brief moment until he's making himself cough and catch his breath 😢😢
