Bottle nipple cleaning

I haven’t been washing the silicone nipple separately from the plastic top that screws into the actual bottle - I’ve been keeping them intact. All the videos I see on TikTok moms are separating them before washing. I feel dumb for not following suit, I just figured they could stay in the screw-in part. Am I the only one? Is the reason you separate them for a more sanitary clean?

Yeah milk and dishwater can get between the pieces enabling bacteria growth as it's harder to dry well together

I never separate. Didn’t know I should. I wash them by hand and then put them in the sanitizer

Yes if not they can get moldy

I don’t seperate all the time sometimes I do sometimes I don’t!

Only did it bc the lc told me to change the nipple flow of the bottle. (Didn’t even knew it came apart)

We was everything by hand- she’s 4 months and fine lol

Yeah everything that’s feed related especially has to Be cleaned by completely breaking I rapper and building it up after nipples, see parts, all the little trinkets in the Dr. brown bottles. If not mold will start to grow.

Separate them for better cleaning. I also sterilize them daily.
