Probably age gaps, I'm 35, and ppl r easy to get into their feelings and abandon their friends for simple disagreements because social media tells them a friend got to be perfect.
I think it's because none of us are in school which was the main way we were all meeting new friends 😉. .but ppl match energy so if you want new friends be friendly and open minded and always reach out just like you are doing here. Your vibe will attract your tribe. It took me a couple of years of reaching out to people here and around my area now I have a great set of friends. And still building my sister circle...of black women. I only wanted ppl of color in my circle rn.
