I waited 3 weeks but I have older kids too who needed to get to school and it’s not walking distance. The hardest part was lifting the car seat in and out the car tbh. If you feel ready try small drives and see?x
I waited 3 weeks, but we were also in the process of selling and buying properties. So, i had to be driving in order to get things in place and be able to move. I think it depends on the insurance company, I know some will point blank say no to drive while you're recovering. As it's not worth the risk x
I waited 4 weeks. Told the midwife the GP had signed me off and she was like ‘in my day we always had to wait until 6 weeks. I am surprised they have signed you off. Don’t overdo it my love.’ 🩷😂I guess it depends on how you feel and if you can say confidently that an emergency stop would not cause you harm then it’s ok. X
3 weeks, nobody ‘signed me off’ I’ve not even seen my actual GP since before I gave birth 🤷🏼♀️
I drove at 3 weeks when my husband went back to work
Waited the full 6 weeks x
I made it to 4 weeks but was going stir crazy. My stitches had dissolved and my wound was healing really well so I risked it
I drove after ten days, insurance company said as long as the GP cleared me. GP spoke on phone and cleared me. Just check insurance will be valid and make the phone calls if needed but if you can do an emergency stop they’ll say you’re good to go.
