C section overhang and healing help

I'm 5 days post C section, second one but this time my overhang is alot. I'm just wondering if anyone has any tips on helping air the incision during the day? At night I feel like I can lie on my back now to help my overhang not be in the way. But during the day I'm a bit stuck on ideas to help. I am wearing big cotton knickers and nappies basically to help the air get to it. I'm walking when I can around the house. Just paranoid of getting an infection and I really want to avoid that.

I was the same with my second and I just had to try my best to air it out at night as much as I could before bed. During the day I just tried to check on it whenever I went toilet and make sure it was all good and give a little clean when I could outside of showering. Definitely didn’t take the best care overall though, but mine healed up fully at about 8 weeks

Personally I wouldn’t worry. Mine was completely covered by my overhang. I didn’t do anything to air it out (didn’t even think it was a thing) and mine is fine. As long as you are washing it regularly. I was never told by any midwife in hospital or when I came home that it was something you needed to do

I got these and put it on there so it didn’t touch skin to skin https://a.co/d/fhERPmm

hmm, I totally get that worry! maybe try using a soft, breathable pad or even just letting it hang out when you can, like when you're sitting down at home? Just looked it up on the 'Heal Baby Care App' and here's what it says: "It's great that you're being proactive about your recovery! To help air out your incision during the day, consider wearing loose-fitting clothing and opting for breathable fabrics like cotton. You can also try using a small, soft towel or gauze to gently lift the overhang, allowing air circulation without putting pressure on the incision. Additionally, keeping the area clean and dry is essential
