World book day

Hi ladies is world book day only today? My son attends nursery Monday and Fridays so we will miss the opportunity for him to bring in his favourite book and to dress up, does anyone else’s school or nursery celebrate it all the week and not just on the actual day? I’m worried to send him in dressed up tomorrow and he be the only child dressed up

Oh no, please do not send him in dressed up tomorrow. World Book Day is only one day. Maybe next year, see if you can swap his days just for that week if you really want him to join in? Or today, you could have your own little celebration at home/park/library with your son dressed in full costume? (Thermals under costume if it is cold etc..)

I've worked in a few nurseries and a lot will do a week of it so children don't miss out.. xx

It’s just for one day. My daughter only went to nursery 1-2 days per week so she never took part in it until she started school. I wouldn’t worry about it, they will probably do it at school. Dress them up at home and take photos but don’t send them to nursery dressed up because no one else will be.
