I'm back 5 days from Monday, so at the moment, I'm pumping at home while she's at nursery. The plan when I go back is a nurse before I leave at 7am, short pump when I arrive at work, power pump at lunch, then short pump at the end of the day (I'm a teacher so I'll pump once the kids have gone but before I leave), then nurse when I pick her up about 5.30 and bedtime. She seems to feed okay directly, but that may change when I go back next week. My friend said she could always tell when it was the weekend/school holidays as she'd be feeding more, and it would up her supply a bit. She didn't wake overnight, so I definitely felt it this morning, yet when I pumped as she fed on the other side, I only got just under an ounce. She then nursed again after breakfast before heading out to nursery, and she seemed to drink loads (from the side I pumped first thing).
This is me right now! I am 3 days a week and have been back at work for 2 weeks. Collectively I’m getting 60ml so he just has that in his night time bottle of whole milk on my last working day. I’m pumping for 20 mins once a day for 3 days. I get the most milk on the last day. It just feels like a waste of time. How are you finding feeding on your days off? I feel like my supply really drops off and I don’t feel my milk coming in as quickly/if at all during the day…
