Requesting maternity notes
Anyone know how to request a copy of your maternity notes from a few years ago? My daughter is 6 and I never looked through my notes about her labour and birth after she was born as I was so traumatised, but now I’m curious and want to know all the details, I’ve heard you can just email the hospital and ask but I can’t find an email address for altnagelvin hospital anywhere?

Did you use badger notes at the time? If yes you can still log in and see notes
Unless you want the complete record then you may need to contact the hospital you could even request it through gp as they get a copy

They asked me to complete a form and provide a copy of my id and a recent bill with my current address. They then had 30 days to provide everything to me as part of the GDPR legislation and I literally got everything from my midwife appointments in the lead up, blood results and the labour/post birth records xx
