My baby has just been diagnosed with cmpa
We have recently been in hospital and he was on a ng tube as he wouldn’t drink more than 1oz and they started him on Neocate which he has started to take too but he is only drinking 50ml every 3 hours and he is 5 weeks old anyone else’s baby like this
The hospital don’t want him drinking below 50ml and I’m finding it very hard to get the 50ml down him taking me about an hour

Yh they didn’t mentioned about adding stuff to it he has gaviscon in his bottle right now as he had bad reflux so not sure if I would be able to add stuff for flavour
We had gaviscon as well and were able to add the vanilla into her bottles but definitely double check. What teat size do you do as I found with gaviscon it needed to be a size up x

It’s normal that they take less formula to start with when starting a hypoallergenic milk as it’s absolutely vile. However, they should’ve told you that you can add vanilla extract (alcohol free) to the milk for the first couple of days to her baby used to it x
