First time mum question.

Hello, I am 4 + 2 with my first baby and have made a self referral to my local midwife team. Is there anything else I need to do while I wait for an appointment? I think because it’s my first I feel like I should be doing more!

Start taking vitamin D and folic acid :)

Hiya! All trusts and areas are different but it sounds like you have yourself sorted! Where I am they don’t want to know you until you are 8 weeks and you can then do a self referral! As above make sure you are taking the recommended vitamin D & folic acid! I take a high dose because of have gestational diabetes last time and having a slightly higher BMI!

Congratulations on your pregnancy 🥳 You did the right thing, only I will say start take your vitamins

Just get yourself some Pregnacare Plus vitamins and do abit of research of what is and isn’t advised for eating/drinking. Other than that, just rest whilst you can haha x

Thanks everyone. It’s lovely to have the reassurance. I’ve started the pregnacare ones too!

If you have Badger notes there's usually a form to complete before your first appointment.
