Combi feeding

So we’re slowly moving away from breastfeeding by adding in 2 formula feeds from next week , part of me wants to keep breastfeeding in the mornings (7am and 11am) feeds and formula feed in the afternoon and evening but another part of me thinks it would be better to completely move to formula by the time she is around 6 months as it will be better to introduce foods after she is formula fed. It’s been an amazing breastfeeding journey and my little girl has progressed really well, luckily she is able to have both breast or bottle quite happily and contented. What are your thoughts? 🌚

I’m exactly the same and my little boy is doing so well. It’s amazing you’ve fed her yourself so well done! Do what’s best for you and little one xx

I'm curious why do you think it will be better to introduce food after she is formula fed? Do you think she will take to food more easily if on formula?

I’ve heard that breastmilk can really help with the transition to food, it helps them digest and adjust to food really well. That’s the main reason my goal of exclusive pumping is around 7 months , as I’m struggling with it but I want the breastmilk to help him at that point

@Tanya I just think that there’s a shift from going from ebf to formula anyways and then introducing foods might be too much at once? So just doing formula gradually. I pumped but now I am planning to stop as I am producing too much milk in the evenings, I’d rather keep my supply in the mornings and breastfeed then
