I was struggling with hand expressing and told it won’t happen for some women before baby. I bought a Medela hand pump and it worked so easily (£13ish on Amazon), I’m now using an m5 and it works so well. Collecting so much! Find it so much easier than hand x
Yes I'm 40+3 & have tried a couple of times in the past week with no success whatsoever. I need to try again but it is very disheartening! Trying not to read too much into it. Maybe I need to try my hand pump as somebody suggested... Anyway, try not to be too hard on yourself as I don't think it happens for everyone 🙏
I’ve only managed a glistening on my nipples not enough to collect. It doesn’t happen for some women pre birth. One of my friends couldn’t collect any but her supply was incredible and she was able to breastfeed exclusively. I don’t think it means much for your future breastfeeding journey
I couldn’t get any at all with my first pregnancy, some women just don’t before giving birth! I’m going to try again this time round though as I’ve had more leakage
I struggled with just using my hand. I ended up using an electric pump to get the follow going and then changed to hand ❤️
