Wake windows

How do you actually stick to wake windows? My baby is 7 months and currently on 3 naps but I feel like sometimes when I’m out and about she falls asleep and her naps are all over the place which messes up her schedule The only way her sleep pattern is good for the day is when we’re at home all day

There’s no scientific basis to wake windows so your best bet is just to follow your little one’s cues and figure out her own wake windows :) x

Wake windows is a generic thing and it depends on baby. I don't think it's something to be followed and always follow baby cues. Just make sure to have 2 to 3 hours between last nap and bedtime.

With my first, I followed wake windows to the letter and it worked for us, but I also was ok with her naps getting messed up one day and getting them back on track the next day. With my second, I realized that wake windows are a GUIDE not gospel. It is more important to respond to your LO's cues than following wake windows. On the go naps are totally fine, if they work for you and LO. You don't have to be locked at home all day because of the nap schedule

I’m definitely struggling to figure this out too. My LO is pretty consistent when we’re home on day. But when we’re out and about his naps get all messed up and sometimes he ends up napping less since he’s sometimes in and out of car seat or a carrier as soon as he falls asleep! Makes me not want to go anywhere unless it’s his wake window or if we’ll be in the car for the perfect about of nap time. But really I think you just gotta go with the flow, live life and follow their sleep cues. Going with the flow and its consequences are tough for me. So no real advice lol, but you’re not alone!
