Early mornings!

Hii! So my little girl is nearly 9 months and has just started to sleep through the night (I know she's a little bit late 🙈), the only problem now is when she does sleep through, she wakes up ready for the day at half 5!! Bedtime is between half 6 and 7 usually, and wakes up from her last nap about half 2. Any tips on how to get her to sleep just an hour longer in the mornings would be amazing ❤️❤️

Have you tried bringing her into your bed at half 5?

She’s not late to sleep through the night, it’s amazing that she does! I would say to try and push bedtime to maybe 7.30. She probably only needs a certain amount of sleep so doesn’t need anymore after 5.30 x

Wait till the clocks go forward 😂

@Lisa this doesn’t affect everyone btw..

This is us lol. She's recently started to sleep through (not guaranteed every night though) but yep, wakes between 5:30 & 6! Tbh I'm OK with it, as I'd rather that than her wake multiple times

@Rebecca that's pretty much what I'm thinking, I could probably manage the 530 started if we are all sleeping through the night

@beth I don't think she would last until half 7, I did think about trying that but she just gets so tired and grumpy at half 6 I'm not sure how I would get another hour out of her

@Nikki totally, especially in the spring/summer when the mornings are light and getting warmer x

Mine used to wake up at 8am...amazing! However recently has been waking between 6-6.30am. I give him a bottle and bring him into bed..this gets him back to sleep for another hour or after 8am. Doesn't happen every morning but I can manage to get another hour at least some mornings x

Definitely not late, my little boys 9 months next Saturday and he’s only slept through once haha! That’s amazing she’s sleeping through 🥰

We're almost 9 months and I'm still waiting for little man to do longer than 2.5 hours 😭😭😂

Most babies won’t be in bed for longer than 11 hours so I would definitely say push her bedtime back and whatever time you’d ideally have her wake make bedtime 11 hours before that. If you’re maybe put in a bridging nap for 15 mins in the last wake window as a one off and then start the next day on the new later schedule pushing all naps back
