Fuss it out experience

Does anyone have experience with the Fuss it out method to try and encourage baby to self settle? Specifically wondering if anyone has tried this around 12 weeks or younger. We get decent nighttime sleep but naps are a joke these days and he often wakes when being put down in the cot that it’s driving me a bit nuts! He is always held/rocked to sleep and then transferred, so just wondering if it’s worth giving it a go with FIO in case we get lucky and he’s able to get himself to sleep at this age.

Let him selfsooth but not cry it out. For me at the same age i put him down and leave go do things, if he cries i go pick him up and help him relax and get sleepy again, once he is calm to go down again i put him and sometimes he says awake quiet and goes to sleep after couple mins, sometimes it takes me to pick him up couple times and put back again, eventually he will sooth himself to sleep

It has occasionally worked for me, I just go and wash up and do a couple of things but not always because sometimes she just doesn’t want to sleep either suddenly hungry again or done a poop or just wants a cuddle, it’s normal at this age to want a cuddle in your arms and I always think maybe she’s got tummy ache or something that is bothering her and doesn’t want to sleep on her own
