Baby hits head in cot

So to get started my little girl is 6months and can sit up fully and pull herself to stand. The issue I'm having is that my little girl keeps whacking her head on the cot whether she is in a sleeping sack or not she gets herself up sitting or standing and will end up falling and bumping her head quite hard. This is an almost a daily/nightly problem as she wakes up happy and decides to sit up and start playing, overnight I only know she's woken up is because she's bumped her head and cries. I'm panicking a bit as my partner is saying we need cot bumpers regardless of the NHS regulations as her hitting her head this often is a bigger problem. Any help wanted.

@Tereza this is what we like to call survivors bias. Cot bumpers really are not safe and many country’s are trying to ban the sales of them because of which. They massively increase the risk of SIDS, suffocation, strangulation and overheating.

Sadly I don’t think there is a solution for this. My daughter did the same and the only reason she doesn’t hit her head is because she is older and in a floor bed. Please don’t get cot bumpers, they really are not safe. When she’s older you can introduce a pillow which helps direct her head to a safe space
