Stopping breastfeeding

So finally I’ve managed to drop quite a lot of day feeds for my little one as I’m trying to stop breastfeeding her by the time she’s two which is coming up very soon. We now only feed to sleep and first thing in the morning. The only issue I have now come across is that my boobs are hurting mainly my nipples. Just want to know had this happened to anyone else and what can I do to stop it being so sensitive. I was quite lucky and didn’t have many issues when I started breastfeeding so I never struggled with and discomfort so this is a first for me and I’m not sure if nipple cream will help or what to try really. Also if anyone has any advice on how I can drop the night feeds that would be great 😊

Might you be pregnant?

I got some pain and so much itchyness when i was cutting down, nothing really helped but it quickly went away when id completely stopped. For feeds throughout the night i told her my boobs were sleeping. We had a few rough nights but she soon stopped waking for milk. For the bedtime feed ( the last one i dropped) we made a deal with Santa so she had her last ever feed before bed on Christmas Eve. She was 25 months so similar age x

Okay thanks I think it’s hard work just gotta stick to it now so that she’s fully of it soon and so we don’t go backwards on it now.
