Sleep

Should I just accept that sleep is almost impossible now? I’m 38 weeks pregnant and for the last week or so I will sleep till around 2am and then I’m awake for the rest of the night. I’m soo fed up and tired. Anyone else going through this or got any tips? I feel like I’m constantly rolling around all night as I ache so much. So miserable! 😩

I’m the same - up every hour to move positions/go to the toilet and eventually just give up at around 3am!

Yeah I’m the same, it’s either the pain, needing to pee or heartburn that’s waking me up.

Same here, I'm 38 weeks, was up most of the night - can't sleep + digestives issues, heartburn, bubbling in the stomach, constant belching etc... And weeing every hour! Don't know how I'll get through work today! 😭

Exactly the same as everyone has mentioned! Have been like this for a month or so and am now 39 weeks counting the days 😩 I seem to remember newborn sleep being better than end of pregnancy sleep 🙏🏻🙏🏻🤞🏻

I’m pretty convinced from my first baby it’s our bodies prepping us for lack of sleep when baby arrives 🤣

@Christie completely agree- I slept better with my newborn than I did in my last 6 weeks of pregnancy 🥰

Thanks every one.. it’s good to know it’s not just me and we are all doing this together!! Hopefully I’ll rest a little more once she’s here (can’t believe I’ve just said that, but you know! 😂) xx

I’m the same , waking up around 2/3am most nights for the past couple of weeks. X

Literally excactly the same, 2am every night (if not before to do the Olympic task of rolling over to my other side) 🫠 So if one more person tells me to “rest while I can” I may explode 😂

I’m the same each night I’m up at 1am then again 4am then I’m awake until morning 🙄

@Yuliia i literally have the same. What is the belching and gurgling noises!? I have cramps too

@Z I feel for you.... I understand that all this belching and gurgling is acid reflux symptoms - pretty much your stomach and all other organs are squashed by baby... And pregnancy hormones are influencing too! I am feeling really nauseous as well, so annoying! If I eat something fatty or too much or fried - gosh, I'll be suffering for days after that. I'm taking omeprazole, but it doesn't help all the time...

Same here - hang in there

Wow, so many of us in the same boat! We don’t have much longer to wait! But yeah.. it’s so exhausting and draining.. and painful! Hope you’re all good! Xx

@Yuliia me too! I then have to sit up in bed and i hardly sleep😭 yhh im also taking omeprazole and still getting these symptoms. Im 38 weeks today and im just ready for labour to start!

I’m up almost every hour or two hours either needing a wee or I have acid rising up my throat! I’ve just accepted that this is it now🥲
