Baby at phototherapy for Jaundice

Hello mummas! My little one is 4 days old and developed Jaundice. The level is more than the threshold they suggest so she is in the phototherapy treatment now for next 24 hrs. This is one of the most challenging one for both baby and the parents, has anyone already gone through this? Basically the little one should be with an eye mask on under blue light and should step out for feed only every few hours. If she cries for anything unsettling/ you are not allowed to take her out as much as possible. Plus the eye mask must cover the eyes and if she wiggles you needs to be alert to set it tight. Anyone else had any early postnatal appointments like these?? Feeling so low and some mumma talks should help as a therapy ❤️❤️

I was in hospital for 2 weeks with my son as he was born with jaundice. I would do skin to skin and hold a phototherapy mat over him. Ask if they happen to have any of those, he had a mat under him and a light over him when he was in the cot. It was such a hard time but it will soon be a memory ❤️ you’ve got this xx
