We’re on our second holiday at 9 months we did 4 days in Portugal all inclusive in a hotel when he was 5 months and we’re currently in an all inclusive hotel in Spain for 7 days I would prefer a villa I think for future just because when you go all inclusive you don’t get a kettle or anything for bottles so have to work with when the restaurant is open to get hot water and you don’t have the same facilities I suppose as you would a villa
Ideally you want bedroom space separate to living space, we found hotel rooms too difficult as we couldn't really do anything once the baby was asleep! Especially now that we have 2 (2.5yalls and 7 months) I'll always look for something with a minimum of 2 bedrooms. We did a half board holiday to Gran Canaria when our eldest was just 1 year old and it was amazing! Best accessory to take with you is the grandparents 😂😂😂
Personally much prefer villa / self catering apartment. Then you don’t have to sit on a dark room while they nap / sleep!
We're staying at an all inclusive resort with villas so best of both worlds! More space now we'll be a family of four, hopefully less chance of hearing noisy neighbours but also catered for completely so we can relax and enjoy it. We stayed in a hotel though when our little boy was 1.5years and it was absolutely fine. I sat on the balcony with a book whilst he napped and any all inclusive hotel I've ever stayed at still comes with a fridge and kettle etc x
Just been to Egypt for 10 nights. We stayed in a hotel but found we had no time at all to ourselves and was lay in bed whispering at 8pm so a villa would be amazing. Must haves: A snoozeshade for the pram honestly couldn’t have done the days without it. A fan for the pram Pre made milk unless BF ALOT of wipes and nappies A changing mat. We always had this out. Toys
Eden Roc hotel in Rhodes is amazing with kiddies! It has pools, little cove basically to the beach, so many beautiful restaurants, arcade for bigger kids too, buffet has great options for kiddies too even have their own little weaning puree stations x
We went away at 5 months and got a villa, was great! I’d say anywhere with an apartment and kitchen facilities so you can prep for baby (and a fridge/ kettle etc…) more room for pram and cot than in a typical hotel room
