Is your baby still in the room with you?

Currently co sleeping but thinking about moving my baby girl to another room as she moves a lot and cries in her sleep (not necessarily waking up but I do!). She still feeds overnight but I figured I would actually get more sleep if she’s not in bed with me.

I went from co-sleeping to putting my girl in her crib! She's been used to her crib from an early age as i would place her down in there after she woke up and after a change. I wasn't getting any sleep co sleeping as she also hit the 4 month regression and just wanted to feed all night. She wakes up 1-2 times a night to feed atm and is 6 months!

Thanks Claire. Is the crib in your room? Or is she in another room?

We moved our little one to her own room when she grew out of her bassinet. Started out slow by putting her in her crib for day naps to get her used to the room and the crib. Then added in the nights.

@Alessandra, she's in her own room! I wake at the slightest noise, so it was better for my sleep and hers, honestly! Co sleeping works for some families but didn't for us. I was so sleep deprived. Moving her has been great. She gets anywhere from 5-8 hour stretches before waking for a feed. You take it at your own pace though and do it when you're ready! ❤️

I moved our daughter to her cot in her own room around 4 months. She is tall for her age and outgrew her bassinet. She was waking almost every hour because she didn’t have the space to move. I didn’t move her sooner because I was trying to stick to the sleeping in a bassinet until 6 months and in our room rule until 12 months. Once we moved her to the cot she was sleeping from 7-7 with the occasional over night feed (she’s formula fed). I will say that we live in a 2 bedroom granny flat so her room is literally right next to ours, I hear the slightest movements and we have the owlet sock and a baby monitor for extra precaution. At the end of the day do what’s best for you 🩷🌻

We moved our girl to her own room when she was 5 months. She sleeps a lot better in her own room, but I miss her! If she slept well I think I’d still have her in the same room.

my daughter was in my room until she hit 2 months and then we moved her to her own room in her cot at 2 months old as she was too big for the bassinet, we never co-slept and now she has her naps and all night sleeps in her cot
