We are in the same situation and sometimes baby loves to stay and sleep on his back, others we need to roll him back because he’s stuck. I read that if you practice rolling too many times during the day they might not roll as much in their sleep at night. So far this has helped us. Also co-sleeping when it gets too exhausting.
Just leave them to sleep on their tummy. Mine did this at 5 months, he sleeps much better now. He’s strong and big enough to roll himself over if he wants too x
Same situation her my little girl can roll back to front but not the other way I had a week or 2 where I’d be up in the night 3-4 times rolling her back because she couldn’t get back to laying on her back, now she sleeps fully on her front all the way through, I don’t move her back onto her back as if just disturbs her sleep x
Mine did the same. Rolled from back to tummy and forgot she knew how to roll back. Took a good 2 weeks of practise during the day for her to remember and now she happily rolls both ways and loves a tummy sleep.
I haven’t got any advice for rolling back over but we were in the same situation. He would just cry if I tried to roll him back as well as wanted to be on his tummy it seemed. I ended up leaving him and patted his bum etc until he went to sleep. It didn’t take very long until he was ok with falling asleep on tummy/side. He can now be on his tummy and still manage to wriggle himself to sleep.
