Taking a Bath PP
I will be 3 weeks pp on friday , had two stitches down there but feel completly healed now, discharge almost completly stopped as well. I want to take a nice warm bath, would it be safe to do so ? I also have some bath salts , would it be safe to bathe in that or just warm water ?

I was also told to wait until I’m cleared at 6 week appointment. I had grade 2 tear/also periurethral tear
I was told 6 weeks for baths, pools, hot tubs. It doesn’t matter if you tear or not. It’s to give time to the cervix to close so you don’t risk getting an infection
My ob said baths are safe right when I get home from hospital just no bath salts or fragrances things like that
I was told wait to be cleared at 6 weeks. The stitches and healing from the tear aren't the issue, but as others mentioned, the cervix takes time to close up. I want a bath sooo bad, I love them. But I find a heated electric blanket to give a similar soothing warmth in the meantime.
