Mouth breather

Is your baby a mouth breather? Do you notice if they’re starting to get a “mouth breather” face? Maybe it’s just me. But if you’ve stopped it, what did you do?

Have you had them evaluated for tongue/lip tie?

Both of my boys have been mouth breathers. One had to get his adenoids out & the other has an upcoming appointment with ENT because he likely needs his tonsils out. Is the mouth breathing accompanied by anything like snoring, sleep apnea, or teeth grinding?

@Lauren 💫 she had her tongue tie removed when she was a month old, but not her lip tie.

@Kyra I’m not so sure about the snoring or teeth grinding, but I do notice that she does have a lot of restless sleep

Definitely possible she has some sort of airway obstruction or even allergies/sinus issues that prevent proper breathing through the nose. If you brought it up for your pediatrician they could probably get you a referral to ENT.
