Boy mums

Feel embarrassed asking this but my little boy keeps leaking through his nappies and now I’m wondering if it’s how I’m changing him? I always make sure his willy is pointing down when I put the nappy on. But he always seems to leak at the side? Any tips?

Make sure it’s pointed down and the flaps around the leg are out. We had the same issue and found Tesco own nappies the best for our boy as they are anti leak proof and had no problems since switching. We tried pampers, Huggies and Aldi and he would leak through them.

We have this sometimes. Make sure the tabs a square across his stomach too. We’ve found this to help as opposed to pointing down. We found it easy and more successful since his cords come off

I had this issue too, I sized up his nappies and so far it’s working out x just have to make sure the nappy is secure with the flaps out and he’s pointing down. I was warned by multiple boy mums that it is an issue with little boys and nappies for some reason x

We had no issues to start with then suddenly we did & it was because we needed to size up. We also do the same things as everyone else has mentioned; Willy pointing down, leg flaps out & ensure it’s fastened tight enough but not too tight xx

We had this and found the only ones that helped were Tesco own brand x

We had the same issue, we started turning the nappy inside out and pull to kind of activate the side elastic. It has worked so far.

I have this too I sized up in nappies so far so good

We recently had to size up because of this and we have used the Aldi nappies since he was born with no issues until last week really. Since going to the size 2 no issues again

We had this issue up to last week, we had to size down to size 0 nappies and boots own brand were the best for us. As someone else said make sure the leg flaps are out too as well as his willy pointing down, nappies all have like an inner seam on the legs too, make sure he’s positioned in between them. This week we’re in size 1 and any brand seems fine, he’s only leaking if his nappy is already full so we’re just checking him every 30 mins now 😊

We had this issue also! We tried different brands and sized up and now we don’t have leaks. Also size up your vests, as the small vests can compress the nappy. Size 2 Tesco brand is working for us but keep trying different nappies til you find what works.

How much do you guys size 2 nappy babies weigh now? Boy is 8lbs but have also had a few leaks but doesn’t seem massive?

@Madeleine mine is approx 7lb something (last weighed last week and he was 6lb15) x

@Abi Thank you! Maybe we try it then, he’s also got awful nappy rash (is pooing on at least 6 nappies a day 😵‍💫) but maybe better absorption will help with that too x
