Things to do

What are you all doing with your little ones other than seeing family parks walks swimming and playing at home? We’re trying to avoid soft play as our boy is sick after every time, but we’re getting a bit bored/stuck in a rut with what to do on days off from work.

Zoo, farm, aquarium, baby groups, library and we do the play cafes a fair bit. I have two boys so I have to balance stuff that they can both enjoy

baby gymnastics is super cute if you have one near you they can just roam and burn off lots of energy, church groups also quite cheap and nice for them

Story stars (class). Aquarium. Farms. Baby toddler group. Visit folks. Folks visit us. A trip to the library is always a winner.

We went round Morrisons with one of the tiny toddler shopping trolleys they have and she had the time of her life 😂 Getting her to “help out” with things I’m doing like washing or emptying the dishwasher she loves. They love helping or bringing stuff at this age! Trying to find games in the every day life

Gather small items from the garden like leaves, petals etc. Make it a little game. Freeze them in water. And then once frozen put them in a big plastic bowl for your LO to play with and feel. Our LO loves doing this. We also make shakers with rice, beans and old toilet roll tubes lol. Also as Kelly mentioned above I give her a cloth when I clean and she 'helps'. I also give her a sponge which she loves. She loves loading (and unloading) the washing machine so usually only let her do this when I don't need it to stay full haha. Another good one is old pans and wooden spoons. They love bashing those about. We have plastic tubs and various balls which she also loves to put in and take out of the tubs (golf ball, tennis ball etc)

@Emma that sounds so creative and imaginative
