Making bottle when out

Haven’t done this before! If I was to do 4oz boiling and 4oz cool boiled do you think this would be perfect temp? Thanks x

I tend to do 1/3rd boiling 2/3rds cold but every baby likes it at a different temperature, just try it at home first to see 😊

I’ve heard that it’s best to boil the kettle and let it cool down for 30ish minutes as boiling water may kill some nutrients in the formula 🙂 when my LO was a baby and I knew I was going out I’d prep 4-6 bottles with 70*c water and pop them in the fridge as they’re good for 24hrs. When I was out, I’d pop them in an insulated lunch box with cool box inserts to keep cool or if I was going to pub/ restaurant, I’d ask them to pop the bottles in the fridge for me and they never said no. If I needed one, I’d ask for a jug of boiling water and warm it up. If I was going out impromptu, I’d always keep a sterilised bottle (replace often as only sterile for 48hr) and keep a ready to feed formula bottle and warm it up the same way! It’s easier now as my LO is now 8mo and I can get a store bought pouch or jar of food and can feed him like that without all the fuss with bottles x

I just take a flask and then check the temp of the milk on my wrist, only ever do it to 6 Oz if it's a 7oz so I can add hot or cold if needed

No I think a 50/50 split would be too hot and you’d have to wait for it to cool down. I base the quantity on what the perfect prep machine does so eg for a 7oz bottle I do 5oz cooled boiled and then top up with 2oz boiling. Thats the perfect temp then

It depends on when you plan on feeding I guess. I just use boiling water and let it cool if its between 1-2 hours. If its longer i used boiling water and put it in an insulated bag. No idea if this is the ‘right’ way but worked for us so far and no upset stomachs ect.
