Induction

I’ve been told today that I could be induced today / tomorrow. I’m 39+1 and having CTG every other day for reduced movements. But I don’t know if they are just offering it to get the baby out because I am full term and being monitored often. Trying to work out whether to accept the induction or not. Has anyone experienced an induction / what are your thoughts?

I had an induction at 36+4 and had my baby at 36+5! I would definitely choose an induction everytime if I could ☺️☺️

Are the movements coming up as reduced on the CTG? They’ve booked you in for regular reduced movements checks or is this you going in for checks every other day. They probably just want to relieve your concerns and get the baby out

Oh I’m in a similar situation! I got offered an induction because I complained about reduced movements twice in the last couple of weeks. I’m really worried now that they won’t allow me to go to the birth centre as I wanted. Would be happy to hear your stories 🥺

They’ve booked me in for CTG for reduced movements! And then today the babies resting heart rate was a little high. They checked again and it seems to have come down now so they’ve told me to come back on Sunday! X

If you feel the movements are reduced I think the induction makes sense, movements are generally the biggest indication to how your baby is coping x
