Can you just get a lock on the door at the top where he can’t reach like the ones they have in a hotel with like a chain or something?
@Ashlyn we have a metal exterior door so not sure what to get for that since screws won’t go through
@Julie screws will go in a metal door forsure you might have to get specific drill bit or screws but it will work

I would say the same as others have mentioned. Another option is - I have these sticky dresser drawer locks. They are super sticky you can’t get the adhesive off unless you use a hair drier. This would totally work! And put it where he cannot reach. Like this post incase I can’t find it again. Going to send you the link!
