First postpartum period

Why does no one prepare you for the first postpartum period, this is worse then my bleeding after delivery and I had a vagnial delivery with a grade 2 tear. I have bleed through pads in the space of 3 hours even double pad and still bleed through and I am now using my left over maternity towels and I am still bleeding through them 😅 I have lots of blood clots and larger ones are coming out whenever I sit on the toilet. Is this normal and is anyone else in the same boat?. Just for reference I am 14 weeks postpartum and this is day 2 of my period. Sorry for the TMI.

I would probably try and get some photo's of your bleeding and show a gp. If your clots are larger than a 50p coin then you should be getting seen to. I'm sure everything is fine and it's just your body regulating, but I'd just err on the side of caution and ask a gp if everything seems good. ☺️

I'm 15wpp and have had 2 cycles since birth... they're SO MUCH WORSE than before, and they were already atrocious

oh bless you, my first period after my first was awful it was christmas dinner round the in-laws i randomly came on as you don’t know when it’s going to be, i bled all over their sofa😭. if it gets worse i’d call midwives if you haven’t been discharged or gp if bleeding doesn’t calm down, grab a hot water bottle and ice cream💗
