Baby not enjoying being on chest

Has anyone else struggled with their baby not wanting to be held to their chest at all? If I hold her against my chest, either to try and burp, or sooth, or just hold close she does not settle at all and is always wriggling and crying and pushing away as soon as she's there. It's also making it impossible to wear my carrier which is what I need because she also won't be put down for more than a minute 😞 It's making me so upset because it feels like she doesn't like me at all

Aw lovely ❤️ I wish I knew why this might be but it’s nothing to do with her liking you or not! Right now we’re just providing food and safety for our little ones and you will bond with her! Could it be frustration around her head/neck? Sometimes if I accidentally put my LO into tummy time on my chest he fussed a lot until his head is sideways x

Can you try holding little one sitting up in your arm but facing away from you? Sometimes my bub wants to look at things so wants to be outwards facing and gets frustrated if I hold him against my chest

Sometimes my little girl can get upset being held and the only way to sooth her is to walk around and bounce her a little

@Abi thank you ❤️ I never thought about that to be fair, definitely gonna try positioning different with her head and see if that helps

@Chloe that's the only way she will settle with me it seems, just a killer on my arm and all I want to do is feel like I'm soothing her rather than parading her about 😂 hopefully as she gets bigger she will enjoy both ways a bit more

I'm sure she will, the World is all new and exciting at the moment haha some babies don't want to miss a moment! Every week is different so see may well prefer a different position soon. I also find that when they sit up like that it helps with their digestion/they don't have as much trapped wind or reflux so it's not a bad position for them to be in!
