Is it wrong to cut people off who don't respect your child's boundaries?

Yesterday I had an uncomfortable moment my father hasn't been in my life for years okay so I introduced him to my child and ny family and my aunt was enforcing my half brother to hold my baby when I told her I didn't feel comfortable she threw an attitude and has a child of her own yelled at me saying yes he will get to hold and I felt soo uncomfortable and angry in the inside. My feelings are justified? My baby is 8 months old I don't believe in passing around a baby

Mind you I haven't seen these people in years and they encouraged my father to not be in the picture and I only did it because my daughters father think our daughter deserve love and think my boundaries don't matter and to be friendly and I cut him off for that even though he's friends with my dad

you are not wrong, its your child your choice x

@Zahra thank you it's his 3rd child so it doesn't matter for him.

Your baby, your rules 🤷🏻‍♀️

I accidentally hit “yes” when I absolutely meant “NO.” It’s the only right answer to cut people out who don’t respect boundaries, including yours. You are the voice for your child until they are able to stand up for tbemselves.

i clicked yes to the question “are my feelings justified” , totally forgot about the question in ur title so idk which question the poll is for , but u doing the right thing i don’t let everyone carry my baby since she was born and now she’s 14 months old. she’s not a toy

You’re the parent. Your day is final with your child.

I clicked yes but I meant NO!

You are completely justified in cutting them off

I voted yes for your last question if yiu are justified in your feelings. And 100 percent. If they can't respect your boundaries they don't need to be in your life.

I didn’t read the story but love idc WHO did what. Protect YOUR CHILD no matter the cost! 💜
