I saw mine a week after birth and then twice since for his weight check ect. She did say that they don't have another check in until 9-12 months but you can always call them if you have any questions or anything. Theu dont come every month as standard. A local centre usually has days what do drop ins so you can speak to them and have baby weighed, you might find these in the back of the red book but if not just give them a call ☺️

Mine came for the first 6 weeks or so, I saw her maybe 3-4 times then she said the next time we’d see her was when my son was about 10-12 months old. She definitely isn’t coming every month as standard x

No unfortunately not. You can call if you need help and arrange a visit but otherwise it's 6 weeks when 9 months old. They've massively cut back visits for babies. I think in Scotland you still get more but in England and parts of Wales it's 💩 I've had more because I've had a few struggles with anxiety etc but when she left out 6 weeks check she just said "right I'll see you at 9 months"

Maybe depends on the area aswell? I got them for a few weeks, then was told my next would be 3 months, then a year - did get extra in the end but just due to issues that needed help with! But should still be able to request extra support if you need something particular x

That sounds correct, but you can always call and book additional visits if you want / need. I’ve done this and see my HV on a regular basis :)

I heard from my HV every 2 weeks until mime was nearly 5 months old when she went on maternity leave and then that stopped. I was under them due to my mental health. Typically you only see them once or twice after birth and then at the year check unless there is a reasob

@Bethan I get what you mean about Wales, my whole pregnancy experience was not that great. But I will give them a call, not sure where I got they're meant to come every month.

they’re not meant to come monthly, just a few times in the beginning and then you have 8-12 months check & 2 year check up. but you can do a drop in session at local children’s centre if you have any questions you should also be able to communicate with them directly if you want

We have visits every 2 weeks due to having prem baby for weight checks . 8 visits so far .

I see my hv weekly for weight checks as my daughter was prem x
