Looking for opinions?

Its a long one so thank you for taking the time to read... So my first is CMPA. She can now have everything but neat cows' milk. Baby #2 is now 13 days old. Suffering with bad trapped gas, pulls knees up, fidgety in discomfort, and will pass wind multiple times before settling back to sleep. She is often sick mainly at night and has had the sick come out her nose as well. Struggles with hiccups. She has more constipated poops being nuggets, but when she does pass a loose once, it's normally seedy and a little mucousy. We've had one with a hit of green and mucus to it. She seems to be gaining weight fine, but my first never had an issue with weight either. Midwife mentioned on her 10 day check she was bloated and could feel the trapped wind. We seem to go from being awake to being very sleepy, but that could be because she didn't sleep great last night as she was sick 3 times after one of her bottles. She is also slightly jaundiced. Sometimes she'll take 1oz and others she'll take 3oz, don't know if that has anything to do with it. There was no rash yet, though, but my first didn't get a rash until closer to 6 weeks of age. The biggest issue is trapping wind and sickness. I don't want to take her to the drs if it's normal trapped wind, but I also don't want to leave it if she does have a CMPA. I'm just looking for advice or opinions, really.

Have you tried anything to help with the trapped wind? Sometimes it can just be that their body's aren't used to it all yet I'm pretty sure dentinox is fine from birth and that helped us a lot! But if that doesn't help I'd definitely be asking drs to trial a milk or if breastfed cut dairy out of your diet

We are picking up some dentinox tomorrow morning as HV is due in the afternoon. My midwife gave me some massage tips, but it doesn't seem to help with the wind, but I now know baby loves her feet rubbed, lol. We've just had a mucus yellow poop with green specs as well. I was hoping we didn't have a second with an allergy. Xx

Everything you’ve described can be completely normal for newborns so I personally wouldn’t rush to get them off regular milk. Dentinox was a life saver for my girl! Plus warm baths, baby massage (always in a clock wise direction on the tummy) Bicycle legs etc really helped too. I would give it a little more time using the techniques and see how baby goes

Thank you to both of you. I will try the drops and see how we go. She was sick and pooped at the same time last night after a bottle. Never had that before, not even with my first x

Hv has suggested I try comfort milk for 5/6 days and if no improvement take to drs as it indicates a allergy xx
