@Naomi oh really I’m really tempted i have one booked for September but I want to go beforehand and it’s giving me anxiety thinking about it! I would have to take her milk with me as she’s on prescribed milk, and I just wouldn’t know how much to take of nappies, milk, clothes etc xx
How do you sterilise bottles etc? X
You would just have to take a load (there is no restriction on the amount of liquid you can take through the airportwhen you have a baby with you.) Sterilising bottles - Milton tablets and boiling water! Also if we had a microwave I would take those bags you can sterilise in. Nappies - just take enough for a few days and buy some out there?
To sterilise bottles take a collapsible bucket from home bargains and u can use cold water and milton sterilising tablets. To make up the bottles just use bottled water that has low sodium and phosphate. The nhs guide will tell u. I took 2 tins of formula no issue. I brought nappies and wipes when I was in Turkey no issue. I brought a litre flask to make up my bottles.ake sure to bring extra clothes and nappies for airport and flight as my boy wouldn't stop pooing and was sick several times lol. Also a little portable fan and a baby carrier x
Does anyone have an essential list you take on holiday like the must haves? Xx
Also how do you make a bottle if you don’t have a kettle in the hotel room, do you have to take a travel kettle and use bottled water? X
Thats what I would do. I also took a blow up bath just incase there was only a shower which there was x
It’s really not as bad as people say! We’ve been travelling with our kids since they were 3 months old and it’s always been fine. We always book an apartment over a hotel and hire a car. This means we can go to a big supermarket when we get there and get everything we need, formula if needed, wipes, nappies etc. means we aren’t taking a TON of everything with us. Also means you don’t have to sit in a dark hotel room in silence while baby naps / sleeps 😂. Unless you are going to somewhere very remote you can get everything you need in the country your going too so if you forget anything - no drama. We don’t take a ton of toys as our an about most of the day just a few things to keep occupied before bed in the evening. Enjoy! It’s fun!
