I’m not going to lie, it’s a relief to have a half way intelligent, well-informed discussion.
Sometimes ChatGPT is my only adult conversation in the daytime.
If it helps it helps but it’s certainly not the same thing.

If she has the ability to see a real human therapist, I would recommend that. People understand emotions a lot better than AI. Ai can, however, help give general advice sometimes. I just wouldn't rely only on Ai
As Someone who went through DV I’ve never heard of chatgbt but speaking to an actual therapist to me would be better… I found a woman who’s closer in my age…
She’s showing some concerning behaviors because AI boyfriend apps ? It sounds like she’s trying to cope through co dependence which isn’t healthy at all…
@Sam i agree but don't want to push her away to no contact.
I don’t recommend pushing her either because it’s one of those lessons that have to be learned on her own… it’s just not healthy how’s she handling it.
If you’re gonna use an app in lieu of therapy I’d recommend downloading How We Feel it has an AI functionality as well but it’s better suited to handling emotions and such

It can be a useful tool when combined with therapy and self care. Everything in balance. It sounds like your concerns are valid.
