@Veronica he likes certain toys only if u help him play with them I might get toys that move around and thank you that's a god idea
What about rotating toys out? I started with sensory bags and some boys in a bin of water to switch things up and she loves that. I try to play with her one wake window and it’s getting long. And then we practice skills and do independent play another wake window. I read a few books, let her sit in her boppy to work on core muscles and she plays near me usually while I eat. Music and light up toys has her attention and has help wonders too
I only put it on once in a while, because it always works too well, but dancing fruit on YouTube saves what little sanity I have. I've been working on trying to put my baby down, even if he gets upset. He's tolerating his bouncer thing for longer, and sometimes he'll play on a mat that you can hook toys to to dangle from. He has really enjoyed the soft, crinkly books lately!
@Mei what about dory’s reef cam it’s a bit less stimulating or Miss Rachel? We did try Dory’s cam for 15 minutes
I know you said he doesn't want toys - do you mean ever? Because that may be a concern to bring up with his pediatrician. In the meantime, a playmat with hanging toys that are brightly colors and contrast that he can reach for might entice him. If you need a break, a bouncer with toys he can knock around can be a lifesaver.
