I just need advice please

So when my daughters turned 1 i requested for early intervention just because i noticed they were a little behind on things. As they got older it became more apparent they were behind in speech and other things. Their speech therapist doesn’t have any other ruling besides autism and that i should get them tested which i will i’m just scared i guess. Everyone wants their kids to have a normal life no matter the circumstances but I dont want to hinder them in any way. And i am also afraid if the testing brings out other results or whatever the case may be. I am currently going through a divorce with their father so maybe the emotions are just a lot for me some days i’m just so defeated and scared my little girls won’t live a happy life.

The earlier you can start services the better the outcome. My son just turned 6 and he still does speech therapy privately and at school as well as OT for feeding but he is better than he was when younger. We also did about 2 years of ABA in home and they really helped him with temperaments and being able to be a part of a normal classroom setting.

@Amy what is ABA ? i’ve heard a little about it. Also i want to register for their in school therapy but they just transitioned to a day care and i don’t. want to rush them into ANOTHER new setting

I work with little ones placements to train the staff to understand your little one and provide strategies so that they don’t need to move placement. I also support families, feel feee to reach out 😊 seetheperson.co.uk
