Night potty training

Hello! So my little boy potty trained during the day just after turning 2. He is now 3 and he never stopped using pull ups at night time and they are always wet in the morning. I am wondering if I should do something about it as it has been almost a year since potty training in the day? Thanks :)

Nighttime dryness is hormonal. You just need to wait until they are dry there isn’t much you can do. We are in the same position. He’s been dry in the day since 2.5 and now at 3.5 still very wet at night. They get there just some take longer.

Nighttime dryness isn't something you can train. It just happens when it happens. Some kids wear pull ups at night until 5 or older. For us he was dry by about 3.5 so about 6 months after potty training but it can take longer. It's not in their control so you can't train it.

They say it can take up to age 6 to be dry at night....especially for girls, more than boys. Just give it time. X

A friend of mine would set an alarm for 2am then wake her kid up to take them to the toilet then put him back to bed.. is this not the correct method for doing it? Asking as I have no clue

@Emma night time dryness is all down to a hormone that signals the kidneys to produce less urine at night. So it’s not something you can really train, as young children don’t produce enough of it. It just happens when it happens - some kids might be dry earlier than others. My little girl has been dry at night since 3.5yr but I know people with kids who are 4/5 and not dry yet.
