Bleeding after sweep - anyone else had this?

I just had a sweep, 39 weeks today. I went for a wee right away after and noticed I was bleeding, more like an actual period rather than spotting. I went back to the doctor and she said it was normal and just keep an eye on it and call triage if it doesn’t stop within a few hours. Did anyone else have this after a sweep? It’s been 90 mins or so now just went to the loo again and had to wipe a few times. All fresh blood. Trying not to panic, but obviously hard not to when you haven’t seen blood like that in 10 months!! Has anyone else had this, did it settle down? Other than this I was pleased I did it because she said I’m 1-2cm dilated and she could feel baby’s head!
