Health visitor home visit
Just had a message to say I will have a health visitor visit at home in a few weeks before baby is born. Is this normal?

Yh . I got call yesterday
I had mine last week :) third baby and I still found it lovely having the health visitor to chat to, she just asked how prepared we are for baby, if we've got a car seat/bed etc yet (my car seat is coming Thursday but she still ticked it off) and told me that the after birth pains are worse for every child so to look forward to that 🤣🫣😫 xx

I got a letter and wondered the same!
There was a change in the nhs and it's now mandatory for health visitors to do 5 f2f visits where before it was option they p ly had to do 1/2 fwf visits. One of which has to be before birth. It's then being recorded and reported into national and government stats.
