Regulating periods?

Hello what has everyone done to help regulate your period? I know birth control can help, just personally I am not a huge fan of hormonal birth control and all the side effects/possible side effects. What did your ob-gyn suggest? I am genuinely jjst curious. Also I am aware not everything works the same and the best for everyone. Thank you.

When I refused birth control they put me metformin it helped but it was super harsh on my stomach. So I stopped taking it. Still looking for an alternative.

@Destiny they are always wanting me to go on birth control just the way how it affects me makes me not want to be on it at all.

@Mimie I do exercise for a least 30 mins or more a day. I haven't tried any of the teas for it though. I dont think I am insulin resistant. I haven't tried changing my diet either. Just that would be a bit hard for me.

@Amarisa TRY THE TEAS & CHECK WITH YOUR DOC. DO YOU HAVE DARKENING OF THE SKIN AROUND YOUR NECK ARM PITS PRIVATE AREA?? DO YOU HAVE SKIN TAG ISSUES?? DO YOU CRAVE SUGAR AT ANY POINT OF THE DAY?? ALSO WITH THE PRICE OF FOOD I GET THAT BUT YOU CAN ALWAYS START SLOW WHEN IT COMES TO CHANGING YOUR DIET. I am going back to see my OB at the end of this month. So I am planning on discussing things with her. I will give the teas a try and yes I constantly crave sugar and sweet things. And I have an odd relationship with food and eating through the day. I dont eat properly. I am not quite sure what my blood type is.

@Amarisa THAT'S NORMALLY A SIGN IS INSULIN RESISTANCE. AS A PERSON WITH AN EATING DISORDER I UNDERSTAND THAT TOO TO TOP IT I'M AUTISTIC SO I WON'T EAT TILL I'M SHAKING. ASK FOR THAT ALSO WHEN YOU'RE AT THE DOCS
