Have you ever missed something so much you can physically feel it?
My MIL was admitted to the hospital on Sunday and I flew out to be here with her yesterday because it’s super serious. Anywho. She lives in our old house. In our old town. With all our old neighbors. I miss it here so much. I love our old house. I love our old neighbors. Walking through the house brings me back to when my older kids were all young. My dad (who has dementia) tiled almost every room. I went into the bathroom today and held the wall he tiled and just cried. There’s so much of my dad in this house. I miss it here.

I feel like this when I go back to my hometown to visit my dad. It’s been almost 2 years since we visited and thinking about it makes my heart hurt too. It’s a normal feeling.
This is so sweet!!! It’s great the house is still in the family so look at it like a place you can always go back to to reconnect with the memories 💕💕 just makes you want to treasure every single second. Life changes so fast 🥹
I feel like this about Algeria. I miss being there so much, especially as our departure wasn't planned and an emergency. Hopefully we can go back in a couple years if my son remains cancer free after his chemo is over.
