Are there any special tips for looking after a newborn girl?

I have had my son and when he was little I learnt you're not to pull back their foreskin as it's attached, until I was told this i was completely unaware this was a thing, so im just curious my daughter is due in may, is there any little things like that that I need/ should know so I can correctly care for her? Also Do newborn baby girls bleed down there? Like a little period? Ive Had mixed messages about that one.. Any advice and knowledge is greatly appreciated! Xx

My little girl had a tiny period but literally only lasted 1 day. Wipe them front to back ( like you would wipe yourself. Gently clean their vulva with warm water as the nappy cream can end up in there and when she poos check her thigh folds for hidden poo smears

my girl didn’t have a mini period but it’s totally possible! i’d also say sometimes (especially after a poo) you might need to move the labia minora/majora slightly to make sure everywhere’s clean x

My girl didn't bleed, check in-between their lips when cleaning to make sure all is clean properly.

Wish I knew this about boys!! I went to the GP and she has suggested a circumcision!! As for girls, mine didn’t have a period and just as the above comments. Just front to back and check all vulva clean as poo gets in there 😅

As above like all other comments, but my daughter did have a small bleed.

My little girl leaked a few drops of milk 🫣 but no mini period

My little girl had a mini period and she had discharge, i have a 10 year old girl and freaked as she never had a period lol. Her bits were swollen for abit aswell. As above always make sure you clean the inside properly!
