Can I opt for an elective induction without cause apart from being in constant pain?😓

I’m just wondering if anyone has opted for an induction and has been accepted? I’m in constant pain😢 I’m having this baby (second baby) in the countess of Chester this time and not sure what their policy’s are on elective inductions?

Are you full term?

No not yet I’m only 35+2 at the moment but am just wondering if they would induce earlier than my due date x

They’ll offer you a sweep from 38 weeks with it being your second (I believe). Other forms of induction will just depend on your trust. Can’t hurt to ask if you’re struggling xx

My hospital is no earlier than 38 weeks unless theres an issue to mum or baby. Im being induced bang on 37 due to SGA. Deffo have a conversation with them, all you can do is talk to them and go from there xx

So you can opt for an early induction without medical issues other than being unwell? I’ve just been so unwell throughout and it’s getting worse😓😣xx

They will weigh up risk and benefit, ideally getting you as close to 40 is ideal for them. But if you have an honest conversation with them they hopefully will take that into account xx

They don’t like to induce earlier than 39 weeks.. ( at the hospital trust I’m at) unless there is a serious risk to baby… Have a chat and see but the likelihood is, they’ll say 39 weeks or as close to that as possible x

I've been accepted for induction at 38.5 weeks. I asked at 36 weeks x

I’ve asked for induction today and my consultant said I can’t have it until 39 weeks as usually your body isn’t ready to have baby any earlier
