I’m on wic. And was for my daughter. We had to switch her formula several times and each one was covered by wic
@Caitlyn do you mind sharing what formula options you switched her to?
Wondering too, because I tried to stay with Similac sensitive even with doctors note and WIC said no to that even with the note.
WIC doesn’t cover any similac products:(
Well we started off with the gentle ease enfamil. (Purple can) then because of her acid reflux we had to change her to enfamil AR. Then at nine months old we had to switch her to nutramigen due to a milk protein allergy. Then her doctor wanted her on puramino but he had to write a prescription for that one for wic. The other ones we didn’t need a prescription
It’s also common for babies to refuse certain types of formula. My son refused the enfamil gentle ease but will take the enfamil infant just fine.
Just FYI for you mamas. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP82xag4N/
Our WIC does similac also but if need a formula change we need a prescription from doc to get a change
We are on WIC in the only way that we were able to have it switched as she needed it medically and she got it. A doctors note from her doctor. She was born prematurely and had to be on NeoSure but that was giving her an upset stomach so the doctor wanted her to be on Similac sensitive and WIC said no that you could do the Enfamil sensitive. Maybe the regular Enfamil is too strong for BaBy maybe see if you could be on a sensitive one. talk to your doctor and tell them what BaBy is doing.
