4 months old tomorrow. EBF and she recently just started only pooping once daily - every other day. She used to poop 3-4 times per day but not anymore.
My baby is breastfed and he poops 3 times a day. He's 4 months old.
4.5 months, EBF and he goes 2-3x/day usually.
Oh ok good. Mine started going down to only once every two days and it started to worry me. Thank you guys!
@Lauren After how many days would you start to worry? My baby is 4 days, I called the pediatrician but he recommended us to give her apple juice… but I don’t want and I don’t trust. He even didn’t ask how we feed her…
@javiera apple juice is a natural laxative, that's very common advice for infants and young toddlers struggling with constipation, regardless of if they are formula/breastfed/eating solids. Apple or prune juice is usually the first recommendation because it's less harsh on babies stomachs than traditional medicinal laxatives. Obviously you don't have to give your baby anything you don't want to, but it's not uncommon or unsafe advice from your pediatrician. However, 4 days for a breastfed infant is pretty normal. I believe up to 7 days can be considered normal before needing intervention.

Prune helped my daughter when she was transitioning to solid foods. It really helped!
And warm baths too!
