@Joanna oh Christ! That’s hard work sorry I thought 5:30 was bad! She doesn’t nap either. I’ve tried later bed times over a week then she’s up at 5:30 constantly over tired so needs to go to bed early again 😆
Exactly same with my son. We tried every couple months. Last one was when on holiday and instead of bed at 6. He went for a 30min nap instead and I woke him up. He was so moody still. He went to bed at 11. Still up early which made the next day worse. I have managed to get him to stay in his room till 5/5:30 by letting him read a book on his sofa with his stuffed teddys with just a nightlight on but that’s still encouraging the early morning but at this point I don’t think that matters
I’m so glad I woke up to this my son is 2 and half and this week he’s started to get up between 5 and 5.30 and refuses to nap to goes to bed 6.30 7.00 and still waking up at this time I was thinking I was doing something wrong but maybe sleep regression ?
We are getting her coming through to our room around 6 or earlier but luckily we can usually get her to dose for a bit longer cuddling us. She napped on Tuesday this week for the first time in months cos she was so tired waking up that early. Im glad the clocks change next week so it'll at least be later then
Yep again and the disturbed sleep. Will not go back to sleep. Hopefully coming out of it as last two mornings it’s been 6am 🤞🏼
My son has finally stopped waking up in the middle of the night to come to my bed and luckily he still naps up to two hours everyday. He tends to sleep at 8pm and used to wake up around 7:30 but recently started waking up at 6:00 or 6:30 which I’m actually happy about because we can finally get to places early/ on time again 😅
My son has always been up by 5am since birth. But since December it’s moved to 3/4am. The clock change is a hopefully good thing this time
We were 7am, now closer to 6am. It’ll change when the clocks change x
@Tali yes I hope so☺️ bring the clock change on again. it’s just been a few weeks of this and I’m pretty sure it’s the birds, they are super loud here. Already been through a regression on wake ups during the night now this. Just hope that doesn’t mean she will be waking at 4:30 instead when the birds get earlier!
If you think it might be the birds, do you use a sound machine at all? My daughter is easily disturbed by any outside sound so we use brown noise. It's less harsh than white noise and has more of a "dull" sound to it. Much easier on the ears and honestly I don't know how we'd survive without it 😂
@Fatheha Hey, thank you, I thought about bringing some noise back, she’s not had that since she was 10 months old I phased it out! I could try it again if it carries on for another few weeks. Although I had a chortle earlier, she’s just today started opening our very hard to open antique door knobs so I was like ‘I bet that’s what’s caused this!’ haha we’ll see 🙃
My son goes to bed at 6. And is up between 3/4 ready to start the day. He refuses to nap during day too. He also has blackout blinds
