Hydromol / Elidel

Hydromol didn't work for us. It feels too heavy and I think the skin doesn't breathe. Salcura bioskin junior moisturiser works wonders for us. About to give elidel another go. It didn't work first time round. But I think we were using it incorrectly. You need to start using it on not inflamed skin/after steroid cream course. Apparently it's good for facial eczema, which we are struggling with.

Thank you, I’ve been given both to use together after steroid course. But everytime I put hydromol on her skin it goes red and I feel like the eczema isn’t improving/is spreading x

It's worth trying a different emollient then. We tried so many different ones until we found one that works. Unfortunately it's not on prescription and is so expensive.
